When you think about promoting your business, often the first word that springs to mind is advertising. Instinctively, we reach out to generate new customers and see advertising as a way of achieving exposure. BUT, stop! Apart from being the most expensive thing to do, it can also be hard to quantify. So consider this.

Use your team: Your team meets, greets and interacts with customers every working hour of the day. What better way to introduce a new service? They would have established relationships and trust with customers making it easier to persuade them to try something new.

Use your data: Look at your database of existing and non-existing clients. You'll find you have a wealth of information you can use to promote your business. A simple letter, phone call, email or text can generate awareness and promote your services!
3.
Think added value: To encourage customers to try something new think beyond discounts. Discounts don't always give clients a good enough reason to come in. Often they damage your credibility and profits unnecessarily. Try using low cost/high perceived value services such as a complimentary hair treatment or a sample product!
